This cantine at the northern part of Karavostasi beach, near to Istron, Lassithi, was suggested by a friend. So we visited the place and ordered the basics in a Greek cantine: Greek salad and pork souvlaki.
The place name of the beach, Karavostasi, is meaning a place where boats stop. Actually the northern part of the beach is leeward and probably served as port for ages; moreover you can still see some modern day boats parked there.

⇑ Pros: The place is by the sea, at a quiet beach, with plenty of space. The Greek salad is large portion. Souvlaki good.
⇓ Cons: As an open air place in the nature, you can spot insects.
⇨ Where to go / what to do: This cantine is an option for local food in the area, especially after swimming in a nearby beach.
